Flood Action Group
About the Flood Action Group
This exists as a coordinating body for the whole village and formally as a Flood Action Group (FAG). The main aims being:-

Act as a point of contact between the Parish Council, the residents of the village and all the agencies (Environmental Agency, Inland Drainage Board and the Lead Local Flood Authority - North Yorkshire Council)

Lobby for improvements to flood alleviation schemes, specifically around the junction of Mill Lane and Main Street; the Fleet (Pailbank Drain) and the river bank.

To help manage flood events by liaising with the agencies and operation of PC owned equipment
